Join us Wednesday, February 25th at 6pm to watch and discuss At the River I Stand. This documentary focuses on black sanitation workers struggle for dignity even when facing state violence.

This pivotal movement in Memphis was a microcosm of the social order within the US, which eventually drew the attention of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference and MLK Jr. See the lessons learned of how this fight for an end to exploitation in the workplace bled into the national struggle for liberation of Black people and how that connects to state violence against minorities now via ICE.
